1/2 Cups Unsalted butter softened
1/4 Cups Superfine sugar
2 1/2 tbl Dried lavender flowers chopped finely or ground in a grinder
1 1/2 Cups All-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cream butter, sugar, and egg well in a mixer.
Add lavender, thoroughly mix.
Add flour a little at a time, mixing as you go.
Cover and chill for at least 15 minutes.
Roll out batter on floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness, cut with cookie cutter.Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 15-20 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet on top-shelf in oven.
Check for golden brown edges.
